PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

CGT is the latest addition to the company's capacitive touchscreen product family. Designed to be

pin-to-pin compatible to 3M Touch Systems' ClearTek product family, CGT gives touchscreen

system integrators the opportunity to second-source capacitive technology. In addition to pin

compatibility, the touchscreens are fully compatible with competitive capacitive controllers,

providing integrators with drop-in replacement options.

Targeted for the POS and retail kiosk markets, CGT is available in both flat and curved 15.1", 17",

18.1" and 19" sizes. The touchscreens are tested to provide increased light transmission up to 91

percent.

A new range of

JetStream and

IOLAN 10/100MB

serial/terminal

servers features a new auto-sensing network

interface that enables them to be installed in 10-

MB or 100-MB networks. As the migration from

10-MB to 100-MB networks continues, the

serial/terminal servers will function with no

reconfiguration needed. The hardware and

software of the JetStream 10/100 is based on the

JetStream range originally introduced by Specialix

International, a company acquired by Perle

Systems in 1999, while the IOLAN+ 10/100 range

hardware and software is based on the IOLAN+

range originally introduced by Chase Research.

The firmware launching with the server ranges will

also cover all recent maintenance released for

improved reliability and functionality.

The company also released the advanced 3.3V-

5.0V PCI card for its SX and RIO Multiport serial

cards. The new universal SX cards provide twice

the performance level by doubling the throughput

capability of the host card.

The T5000e is a

industrial-grade

thermal bar code

printer designed for

exacting label

applications. The

printer combines

Web-based

networking with a

closed loop bar code

quality system to provide top functionality. The

series offers a wireless technology option based

on 802.11b standards, which enables easy

integration or a wireless solution within any

enterprise while retaining all the benefits of

PrintNet Enterprise - a Web-enabled, remote

network, print management solution that works

across all three printer technologies. Other

features include Online Data Validation, which

features read-after-print technology that carefully

analyzes every printed bar code to assure it meets

stringent compliance standards.
